The WRTM is a strategic level model and currently plays an important role in the assessment of integrated land use and transport planning initiatives and the assessment of proposed changes. The WRTM assists with planning macro level responses and understanding a range of modelled future scenarios. A business case is currently underway in preparation for upgrading the WRTM.
